7 Easy Ways to Protect Your Laptop’s Screen
How To Effectively Recharge Your Laptop Battery For Optimum Performance?
Touchscreen laptops or 2-in-1 laptops are generally more appealing to us because we want to be able to do things with our touch on a laptop. It makes us feel more sophisticated when using our devices. However, no one ever considers the cost of repairing these devices. Touch screens on average cost in between £210-300, sometimes more. In contrast, non-touch laptop screens on average cost in between £60-80. These prices do not include the repair service itself. So, if you break your touch screen, the repair price may be quite high depending on various factors. In some cases, it may not even be economical to do the repair.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to remove a touchscreen that is damaged or not working and replace it with a non-touch display. In most cases, the display cable coming from the Motherboard is only compatible with that same type of display. In some rare, older generation models, it may be possible but it’s not often worth the effort. Consequently, changing the touchscreen for a non-touch one is not a typical solution.
