Apple Motherboard Repair Technician

Repair Daemon is a fast-paced Managed Service Provider based in London, looking to expand our team across various roles. We provide repair services for Apple Devices, Computers, Laptops, Gaming & Mobile Devices of various brands. Data Recovery and Business IT Support is also one of our key services. Devices are collected, repaired/recovered, and delivered back to the clients. We have enhanced our service model since we started in 2016 from Crystal Palace and are continuing to expand our team after moving into our new premises in Barbican.

We are looking for a Motherboard Repair Technician with fault finding experience on Computer PCBs. The ideal candidate will fit the following profile:
  • Ideal but not necessarily have a Degree in Electronic or Level 4 Equivalent
  • Have a minimum of 2 years PCB (Motherboard) repair experience
  • Have experience with repairing Motherboards/PCBs from laptops, desktops, mobile devices, gaming consoles, tablets, etc. including Apple Devices such as MacBook Pro, iMac, iPads
  • Have experience with tracing faults on motherboards, carrying out SMD repair work which requires extensive experience with micro-soldering
  • Perform evaluations and tests on new hardware and software
  • Perform daily backup operations
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met
  • Provide support to service users
  • Assist on-site technicians with large issues and projects
  • Manage technical documentation
  • Track and document the progress of repairs and associated processes
  • Follow instructions and undertake other reasonable duties, when required, as dictated by circumstances and directed by management
  • Outstanding communication and organisational skills
The hours will be 9am-6pm Monday-Friday subject to contract. The statutory holiday entitlement is 28 days, can be including or exclude bank holidays, subject to contract. A salary of £26,000-£32,000 depending on experience and quality of work. A 3-month probation period.
