Corrupted macOS

Mac Operating Systems (macOS) can sometimes get corrupted as a result of a failed update or changes made to the system by the user. These issues may occur accidentally, loss of power to the device during the update, lack of space on your storage drive, etc.

  • To repair the disk, try to restart the computer and press command R while it is restarting.
  • then select the Disk Utility option, from the macOS Utilities menu. Once loaded, choose which disk you want to repair. Choose ‘repair disk’ once you have selected the right system partition. I.E Macintosh HD

 

  • If the data is accessible, we can simply recover the data (files such as documents, pictures, music, videos), reinstall macOS and restore the file on the new installation on the macOS.

    Kensington Office & the Lewisham Store is open in between 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday. Weekend bookings are subject to staff availability and we will have to call you back and confirm.

    Warranties:

    Standard warranty coverage: we provide product repair and offer a replacement of a product or product parts with the same item. We also offer a refund of the cost of the product minus depreciation if it is determined that the item cannot be repaired or if the customer opts for a refund rather than repair. The warranty must be activated for this to be put into full effect.

     

    Our standard warranty on almost all repairs is 3 months. We can extend the warranty for you to 6 months to a year depending on the type of service we carry out for you. We will let you know if we can offer an extended warranty on your devices during the quotation stage.
