Liquid Spilled/ Damaged MAC Laptop?

  • Liquid spillages can cause a number of issues with a Mac laptop such as preventing it from turning on, or the keyboard not working. It can cause the motherboard to crash, along with many other issues. A thorough assessment is required for us to know exactly what needs repairing.
  • If your Mac laptop has liquid damage, first DO NOT PANIC. We are here to assist and repair. Time IS of the essence. You MUST act fast, to protect your mother board AT ALL COSTS.
  • Your best bet is turning off your Mac/laptop immediately, unplug it, remove your battery (if possible), press the power button until the machine completely shuts down. DO carefully turn it upside down, let the liquid and moisture drain out.  
  • Take a towel or a dry cloth and wipe down and remove any excess liquid from the laptops surface (be mindful of the vents, keyboard and ports).  Put something absorbent like a towel over the Mac and let the liquid drain. Once this is done, book an appointment and come and see us immediately in Kilburn.
  • For a Microsoft Windows damaged laptop, the laptop can get corrupted through an update, faulty boot record, corrupted system files or faulty hard drive. In order to repair, we back up your data and re-install Windows.

    Kensington Office & the Lewisham Store is open in between 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday. Weekend bookings are subject to staff availability and we will have to call you back and confirm.

    Warranties:

    Standard warranty coverage: we provide product repair and offer a replacement of a product or product parts with the same item. We also offer a refund of the cost of the product minus depreciation if it is determined that the item cannot be repaired or if the customer opts for a refund rather than repair. The warranty must be activated for this to be put into full effect.

     

    Our standard warranty on almost all repairs is 3 months. We can extend the warranty for you to 6 months to a year depending on the type of service we carry out for you. We will let you know if we can offer an extended warranty on your devices during the quotation stage.
